WILW

What I'm loving Wednesday again with Jamie!

I'm loving Pinterest! I'm not sure I'm doing it right but I'm enjoying what I am doing which is getting lots of inspiration for crafts and future decorating!

I'm loving season 3 of Parenthood. It doesn't come on until 10pm which is a bummer but I love it enough that I'd watch it even if it came on at 2am :)

I will soon be (in a week) loving my position in Mr's company as the FRG hospitality volunteer :) I'm excited to get involved, meet the ladies in the company and I love whipping up welcome baskets for new comers :) should be right up my alley!

I'm loving playing trucks with my little guys. Here are their favorites :)

I'm loving that the high tomorrow is 62! Yay!

And as always I'm loving life with this man. He is truly amazing and I don't praise him enough for what he does for our family. Thank you for leading us babe :)

6 Years of Fun

Today my Maggie dog turns 6 years old!

I begged for a dog for YEARS. And on Christmas day of 2005 I got the best present I'd ever received!

Maggie was my baby until my boys came along. I still love her. She lives with my parents and is my dad's best friend now. Maggie was there for me during the craziness of high school and she was perfect. She could read my emotions and love me accordingly. I will never forget how great she was for me. Luckily my boys love her just as much as me and I hope they have years and years of playing with her ahead :)
Align CenterI love you Maggie May Hoo!
(her full name and yes she was the flower girl in our wedding :)

I Love You So

I can't imagine life

before you came along.

Me there singing senseless

no meaning to my song.

Oh my sweet Buddy Bear. Where has the time gone? Just yesterday you were born and now here you are. Three years old! I just don't believe it. You are the sweetest boy. You are polite and love to give hugs and kisses. You never go a day without telling us you love us all. You are my bug finding, outside playing, bike riding, constantly giggling, monkey loving Isaac. I love you so much!

Happy Birthday sweet boy!

What I'm Loving Wednesday

I decided to join up with Jamie and do What I'm Loving Wednesday!

I'm loving the fall like weather we've been having here in North Carolina for the past week or so!

I'm loving that because of the weather, Mr and I made pumpkin spice lattes Monday!

Of course
I'm loving these three handsome guys!

I'm loving that after blogging for this long I've discovered people I know who blog! YAY!

And finally
I'm loving that I'm co-hosting the next "coffee" at our house with the colonel's wife near Christmas and that I accumulated everything needed to make this tree a reality in my living room!

Have a wonderful Wednesday!

The BEST soup

Yup. That's right. I am making a big statement here, but this soup definitely lives up to the hype. Taco soup is the name and whatever meat you want is the game. And EASY EASY EASY to make. Below is the recipe. Enjoy!

TACO SOUP
(The picture is one I found online but this is pretty much what it looks like)

1 lb lean ground beef, turkey, or chicken
1 packet taco seasoning
1 packet ranch salad dressing mix (not the dip mix)
2 can each of:
red kidney beans drained, rinsed
black beans drained, rinsed
corn UNdrained
1 can rotel
1 can petite diced tomatoes
1-1 1/2 cups of water
salt and pepper to taste

Brown the meat or chicken, add seasoning packets and blend them in.
Add all ingredients and cook until hot.
Top with cheese and tortilla strips or fritos if you choose :)

Watermelon, Birthdays, and Picture Overload!

Hello everybody! Hope all is well! This post is so full of pictures and the descriptions and all the happenings here in the Fisher house are down towards the bottom so enjoy the view on the way down :)
On Pope AFB looking at the big airplanes and collecting pine cones.

Originally this fire pit was $79. A few weeks later it was $40. Yesterday it was $29. Good deal. Good things come to those who wait [for Wal-Mart to lower prices] on Christmas trees and fire pits :)
When the boys are alone in the kitchen, my Tupperwear cabinet takes a beating :)

Landyboo at Busch Gardens :)

Daddy and his Buddy riding the dragon at Busch Gardens :)

Aw :) LOVE!

When I was a kid and I would spend the night at my Grandparent's house, my Grandma would make popcorn in a maker like the one above and I LOVED watching it. So last year when I saw this popper in a magazine I had to have it and my sweet parents bought it for me at Christmas. Now I can share a sweet moment with my kiddos that reminds me of memories at my Grandparents :)

My handsome fellas :)

Buddy in Elmo's splash park at Busch Gardens :) We drove the 4 hours up there a few weeks ago to go with the rear detachment of Mr's unit.

We had chilli and football food the Thursday of the first game :)

Landon didn't have a huge party but he did love the one we had. Mommy's cupcakes and lots of presents! :) Still can't believe he's this old already.

Mr. came in from the backyard a few weeks ago and asked if I knew we had a watermelon. Shocking! And the real shocker was that while talking to my Grandma about it this past weekend I discovered that we actually have 3 growing! WOW!!! The above one is the medium sized one. Below is the smallest (about the size of a baseball). The last picture is the biggest which is basketball size :) Can't wait to eat them!

Dust in the Nursery

Dust in the nursery

The following is by Ruth Hulburt Hamilton and was published in the Lady’s Home Journal in 1958 as “Song for a Fifth Child”.

Mother, oh Mother, come shake out your cloth

Empty the dustpan, poison the moth,

Hang out the washing and butter the bread,

Sew on a button and make up a bed.

Where is the mother whose house is so shocking?

She’s up in the nursery, blissfully rocking.

Oh, I’ve grown shiftless as Little Boy Blue

(lullaby, rockaby, lullaby loo).

Dishes are waiting and bills are past due

(pat-a-cake, darling, and peek, peekaboo).

The shopping’s not done and there’s nothing for stew

And out in the yard there’s a hullabaloo

But I’m playing Kanga and this is my Roo

Look! Aren’t her eyes the most wonderful hue?

(lullaby, rockaby, lullaby loo).

The cleaning and scrubbing will wait till tomorrow,

For children grow up, as I’ve learned to my sorrow.

So quiet down, cobwebs. Dust go to sleep.

I’m rocking my babies and babies don’t keep.

________________________________________________________

This is so true. I need this posted on my wall for days when I worry about the "house work". My sweet babies won't remember the way the house looked, they'll just remember I said "I'd love to" and "Yes, lets go" when they wanted to play instead of "not right now" or "in a minute". (Can you tell my babies are growing too fast? It seems to be sinking in a lot lately)!

Love you Forever

I'll love you forever,

I'll like you for always,

As long as I'm living

my baby you'll be.

The fastest year of my life has just come to a close. I cannot believe you are here at your 1st birthday my sweet baby Landon. You are a miracle and the sunshine in our house. You are growing faster and faster everyday and I'm doing my best to soak in every moment of your cuteness and even your crankiness. I love watching you play with your brother. I can already see that you'll be friends forever! We love you so much your dad, brother and I. And like the book we bought for you says:

I'll love you forever,
I'll like you for always,
as long as I'm living
my baby you'll be.

Happy Birthday sweet boy :)
