The BEST soup

Yup. That's right. I am making a big statement here, but this soup definitely lives up to the hype. Taco soup is the name and whatever meat you want is the game. And EASY EASY EASY to make. Below is the recipe. Enjoy!

TACO SOUP

(The picture is one I found online but this is pretty much what it looks like)

1 lb lean ground beef, turkey, or chicken
1 packet taco seasoning
1 packet ranch salad dressing mix (not the dip mix)
2 can each of:
red kidney beans drained, rinsed
black beans drained, rinsed
corn UNdrained
1 can rotel
1 can petite diced tomatoes
1-1 1/2 cups of water
salt and pepper to taste

Brown the meat or chicken, add seasoning packets and blend them in.
Add all ingredients and cook until hot.
Top with cheese and tortilla strips or fritos if you choose :)

Watermelon, Birthdays, and Picture Overload!

Hello everybody! Hope all is well! This post is so full of pictures and the descriptions and all the happenings here in the Fisher house are down towards the bottom so enjoy the view on the way down :)

Originally this fire pit was $79. A few weeks later it was $40. Yesterday it was $29. Good deal. Good things come to those who wait [for Wal-Mart to lower prices] on Christmas trees and fire pits :)

Aw :) LOVE!

When I was a kid and I would spend the night at my Grandparent's house, my Grandma would make popcorn in a maker like the one above and I LOVED watching it. So last year when I saw this popper in a magazine I had to have it and my sweet parents bought it for me at Christmas. Now I can share a sweet moment with my kiddos that reminds me of memories at my Grandparents :)

We had chilli and football food the Thursday of the first game :)

Landon didn't have a huge party but he did love the one we had. Mommy's cupcakes and lots of presents! :) Still can't believe he's this old already.

Mr. came in from the backyard a few weeks ago and asked if I knew we had a watermelon. Shocking! And the real shocker was that while talking to my Grandma about it this past weekend I discovered that we actually have 3 growing! WOW!!! The above one is the medium sized one. Below is the smallest (about the size of a baseball). The last picture is the biggest which is basketball size :) Can't wait to eat them!

This is so true. I need this posted on my wall for days when I worry about the "house work". My sweet babies won't remember the way the house looked, they'll just remember I said "I'd love to" and "Yes, lets go" when they wanted to play instead of "not right now" or "in a minute". (Can you tell my babies are growing too fast? It seems to be sinking in a lot lately)!

The fastest year of my life has just come to a close. I cannot believe you are here at your 1st birthday my sweet baby Landon. You are a miracle and the sunshine in our house. You are growing faster and faster everyday and I'm doing my best to soak in every moment of your cuteness and even your crankiness. I love watching you play with your brother. I can already see that you'll be friends forever! We love you so much your dad, brother and I. And like the book we bought for you says:

Vistiors

We found them together in the bathroom doing this one evening. It was pretty hilarious :)

I thought I'd go ahead and do a little post on what we did while Nini and Papa were here! Friday the boys and I went to Raleigh and picked them up from the airport. Then we had some Chik-fil-a and headed back to our house! As soon as we got there, Nini got to work (that woman can't sit still :). *backstory: when we first moved here the movers lost the parts to Landon's crib so he was sleeping in the pack-n-play* Nini found parts exactly like our crib's and bought them for $3!!!! WOW! So Buddy and her put that together! We just relaxed the rest of the night.Saturday we went to the beach! It was so fun. We've been just the 4 of us 3 times and each time Isaac was not enjoying the water. He'd get close but he wouldn't get wet past his toes. Well he was ALL water this time. Jumping in, running into the waves. Giving me a heart attack some times but he was loving having his Nini and Papa at the ocean.

We went to church Sunday and then out to lunch at Red Lobster but I didn't photograph all that :)
The rest of the time they were here we just hung around and played with the boys :)
The day we took them to the airport :( It's always a little sad when visitors leave. Oh and Nini and Papa got Landon a new bedding set that matches the room he's in right now :)

It's almost here!

Fall that is. And maybe it's not technically here but there are definitely things pointing in that direction around our house!

It has been this temperature a few days now! WOW! And some foggy mornings (reminds me of band practice in high school)



This starts soon and while my husband doing fantasy football stuff all the time isn't that exciting, I do like watching our teams play :)

Does anyone else watch fall and winter movies at this time of year? When I feel fall a'comin I break these out (or any time of the year I'm feeling festive)



And not super exciting but my classes start again tomorrow :( Ah how I wish it were all new pencils and apples for my teachers!

My parents were here last week for a few days. It was really nice getting to see them! Buddy and Landon miss them I can tell but only 18 weeks until we're home for Christmas! (positive attitude!) I had my gallbladder out last Friday. Glad that's over I'm done being in pain! Hopefully. And my sweet hubby has taken the week off to be a full time dad and nurse to me and I must say I'm impressed. I may let him take over cleaning duties ha ha :) The fall session of PWOC starts on the 30th which is exciting because there are a ton of awesome bible studies to choose from! I'm ready. Now off to relax with the kiddos! :)
