I did it :)

I completed week one of C25K! Ya! Tomorrow I will start week 2! Today I'll be doing a video off of Netflix. Oh how I long for the days when I can run to the gym or go to classes with other folks. But for now I workout at home during my free moments when I'm not changing diapers, making bottles, playing trucks, building forts, snuggling, rocking babies to sleep.......ok. Maybe I'm not longing for those gym days that bad ;)

I'm hoping my weigh-in goes well tomorrow. We had some Starbucks and maybe foot long hot dogs this weekend? Ah yeah I think we did. We shall see what the damage is tomorrow :\

Lately it seems there are a lot of "bad" things happening around me. Sick family members, friends going through the worst, beyond stressful situations, shootings around the world, sick children. To be honest, sometimes I ask God why. Why are these things happening? Its times like this that I just have a hard time remembering that God has great plans for all of us. Plans that are perfect but also beyond our understanding. My favorite verse is Jeremiah 29:11.

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

I believe prayer is very powerful and if you join me in that belief would you please pray? I'm sorry I can not be more specific in the prayer requests.

I hope everyone is having a great start to the week! :)

Is it cold ANYWHERE?

Well inside my house it is, but the boys and I are so extremely tired of being cooped up in the house. Mickey Mouse is getting old and all the coloring books are filled. All the trucks have been driven and stuffed animals thrown. We're ready to go outside and roll in the dirt and blow bubbles. We do get to do these things but not until about 8pm when its almost bearable outside. Really fall, you can get here anytime. Don't these scarecrows look happy?

I lost a pound! Since last Thursday. It just happened that I made the ticker the day before my weekly weigh in so I got to change it! Lets hope I get to move it in the same direction next week :) Yesterday I did the first day of C25K on the treadmill. It really wasn't bad at all. Today I plan on doing a Netflix video when the babies take their afternoon nap. I also plan on finding my camera cord to start putting pictures on this new computer :) so my posts aren't so blah!

I have found one of my trouble spots. We've been having good healthy meals here lately and last night we had homemade vegetable soup (I know "soup when it's 100 degreees out!?!" but I had a sore throat and it's cold inside with the air on). So after eating this veggie soup that was 2 WW points+ for 2 1/2 cups my mind started telling me that because my dinner was so little and that I had ran earlier in the day that I deserved some Baskin Robins (to help my throat of course). So we went to BR and I had a one scoop sunday that was delicious no doubt. Then we get home and I start feeling guilty and terrible and went to bed just feeling crummy that I did that. How do you guys get over those feelings? The feeling of thinking you deserve a fattening treat because you worked out hard and also the feeling of crummyness after you eat that treat? I definitely need to find a way!

Well, Here We Go!

Even as I type these first words I'm contemplating deleting this post and my new ticker. But I know I don't truly want to. I have been debating for quite a while on whether I wanted to start blogging about my weight loss journey or not. Finally after reading other weight loss blogs for a while I realized that they were encouraging me by showing every aspect of their journey in an honest open way. And I really like reading them. I'm not turning my blog into a weight loss blog but I am going to start keeping track of the journey here. The good, the bad, and the ugly (which I'm sure there will be a lot of). I'm doing WW online. That is going good so far. I did it last year for a few months and did great but then Christmas at home happened and I ended up just being lazy and giving up. Well now after successfully following it for a week I think I'll start sharing lol. I'm trying to figure out how to write my goals in the sidebar without messing up my page design. Good luck to me. We're looking into used treadmills right now. I've been working out at home doing Netflix videos and Youtube stuff but I want to run. I want to be a runner just like my mom :) but with the 190 degree temps here and 800% humidity everyday, even taking a walk with the boys at 7 a.m. is PAINFUL for all of us. So I workout in the afternoons when the boys take their joint nap. I just want to work harder and I don't feel like I'm getting that from videos. But if we don't find a machine that works to our standards we may just wait until we save for a new one (blah curse you Dave Ramsey). So here it goes. Even if I am the only one to benefit from this new addition from my blog then I did what I came here to do.

You can guarantee I'm working out in my living room dressed like this!

Oh I found a new blog also today over at All the Weigh and I wanted to link up with her for Friend Makin' Monday!

1. What do you like most about yourself?

Summer Dreams

I've been consciously trying to enjoy every moment of the day. Trying not to take for granted the amazing things God has given me. To name a few: my sweet babies at the age there are, my husband who is home and safe from war, my health, quiet moments like this one, our loveable handful of a puppy, and many many more as they arise. But sometimes I allow myself a few minutes to dream. And my current dream is camping. Going to the lake with family and friends has been a huge part of my life since I was a baby and my parents took us and locked me up with a lattice fence ha ha. I wish I had a picture of that to post here. I cannot wait to take our boys to the lake and tube and ski. They are going to LOVE LOVE LOVE it! Just like any kid would. My fondest memories of the lake are with my best friend. We used to be (and still could be if given the chance) the tubing champions. We'd go for hours and sing and check out boys ha ha. Man good times. Take me out to the waaake! Take me out to the waves! That one is for you Em. *Side note - We got a new lab top and I don't have my pictures on here so my posts are gonna be a little boring until I get that figured out* I like planning outings and meals and camping is like all of that all weekend or whenever you go. Cute table settings and quiet mornings drinking coffee outside while the world sleeps. Movies inside the camper after a long day on the water and playing cards. Hopefully in a few summers this will be our reality with our family and friends in MO. Until then... :) Enjoying life here in NC!

Natalie Grant - Your Great Name

I assume that came to read my blog now because you had a few free moments. Well since you're here I thought I would share with you a song that spoke to my heart today. I love when God gives me special moments with just Him and I. On the way home from the grocery store this morning both of my kiddos had fallen asleep. As I pulled into the garage this song by Natalie Grant came on. So I took the opportunity to sit quietly alone in my car and worship my Lord. This song reminds me that God is in control of EVERYTHING and he is the most powerful and loving.

WOW! I hope you enjoy that song as much as I do. In other news, we are doing great here. Mr just finished a four day weekend which was wonderful. We watched fireworks from our backyard on the 4th. Buddy loved them. It was thundering last night during a storm and he kept going to the backdoor asking to go out and watch the fireworks. We went to a new church Sunday. We really enjoyed it. The kids has a great time interacting with other little ones which I love. Mr and I sat behind a very sweet Army couple. Jeff and Shannon were their names. They made us feel very welcome. We enjoyed the worship and the sermon and we plan on going back this next week to try the contemporary service. I love the feeling of having a church home and maybe someday soon we'll call Snyder our church home. Other than that, the boys are doing great as usual. Landon is pulling up on everything and we assume he'll be walking before Nini and Papa get here in August! We'll see! Mr is in charge of planning a Hail and Farewell dinner for an officer in his unit and so we get to go to an event! Fun. August 2nd! That means a new cute outfit! Right babe? haha! Hope everyone is having a great week! Tomorrow is Friday! YAY!
