The Beginning

Happy Tuesday!

This week feels so refreshing to me for some reason.
I'm loving my classes, the kids are having fun at school, and I joined AdvoCare.
Say what?

Yep, and if you want to know more about the journey I have begun you can hop on over to my other blog: Being Their Healthy Mom.

I know so many people personally who have changed their lives in more ways than one with AdvoCare, and I cannot wait to join them!

Oh, and what is a blog post without some cute pictures?

For as in one body we have many members, and the members do not all have the same function, so we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another.

More Firsts

The babies and I started back to school yesterday.
Landon and I were ready.
Hadley would prefer to stay home with me.  I don't blame her. ;)
Everyone (except Isaac) had a good day and that's what matters.

Isaac was punched by a kid in line after recess for no reason.
The principal called to let me know that the other child had been disciplined and Isaac was tough and doing great.
I was not happy, but Isaac truly was alright, and we resolved it.  Poor Buddy Bear was shocked as to why someone would hit for fun.
I'm with ya Buddy Bear!
Anyways...

My two first day cuties!

Here they are this morning happily rolling a ball together.  I love these moments!

Here is a picture of my first day back.  These are my Group 2 homies (minus Kaleb) in what is sure to be our favorite class.
Is it just me, or would this picture look good on a t-shirt?
I can't be the only one who sees that.

By day the Lord commands his steadfast love, and at night his song is with me, a prayer to the God of my life.

Goodbye, Summer!

Summer break is officially over here at the Fisher household.
Chance went back to school today, Isaac went last week, and the rest of us go on Wednesday.
We spent the summer well, though!
Lots of swimming at Aunt Lisa's, hanging out with family, visiting grandparents, reading, napping, coffee dates, etc.
I'd say it was a successful summer break, but I am ready for the school year.

Papa and Landon watching a tractor repair the driveway.  They're so cute together!

She dressed herself like this.  It's sort of 80's meets hippie in my opinion.

Isaac's First Day of Kindergarten

It's here!  He's off in his new classroom as I type this.
Who would have thought this day would ever come?
I hate how cliche it sounds, but I cannot believe how fast these (almost) 6 years have passed.
Last night I was grabbing something downstairs and I saw Karen Kingsbury's Let Me Hold You Longer.  If you've never heard or read this story follow this link and skip to 2:09.  Grab a tissue.
Luckily, I had the will power to step away and not read the book alone in the basement.

Here's my handsome Kindergarten guy.

This picture of these two is rare.  They never sit still or hug each other.

Landon is excited for his brother.  He keeps asking when he can go to Kindergarten. :)

I love these crazy guys!

A little comparison of the school boy :)

Maisy

Have you ever seen the Dr. Seuss short about Daisy Head Maisy?  Here it is if you want to experience the joy (ha ha).  That's where we got her name from after seeing the clip after a Dr. Seuss movie a few years ago and it sticking in our heads.

This is her right after I picked her up, and she was very nervous.

At first she was very shy and sat in the corner all day.  We actually worried about her at first because she wouldn't eat or drink anything, but that changed after a day or so.

We took her camping the day after we brought her home.  She was really shy during the trip, but also well behaved.

Here she is warming up to Landon on the ride home from the lake.

She loves to sit on our bed, but then again, who wouldn't?
Luckily, she happily sleeps in her kennel.

Isaac seems to really like her.  Now that she's used to us, she is quite excited to see everyone.  She wants to play ALL DAY!  She isn't a small dog and her welcome home jump is powerful, so Hadley doesn't really enjoy seeing her at first.  Disclaimer: we do not leave her alone with the children.  She is sweet, but she is still a dog.

I know that we are going to have Maisy for a very long time, and I pray she keeps becoming another member of the Fisher family.

In the way of your testimonies I delight as much as in all riches.

Hello!

I am sure that anyone who has ever said goodbye to their blog got the urge at some point to return to their little piece of the internet.  I have had such an urge.
So, here I am.

Life seems to have changed and stayed the same since I last blogged.

We've moved (across the street)

We added a family member.  She doesn't bark much and is as cute as a teddy bear.
Literally.

I miss the blogging world, so here I am again.

For now.

Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies?  And not one of them is forgotten before God.  Why, even the hairs of your head are all numbered.  Fear not; you are of more value than many sparrows.

Luke 12:6-7
